Premiere of new project

nview of the real impact on the environment and the quality of life of residents that our pro-environmental activities bring, as EMKA S.A. we try to be present not only at industry events, but also at meetings devoted to local government activities. Already at the beginning of March, we will participate in the IX European Congress of Local Governments, where we will share our experiences and look for new innovative solutions.

During this event, we will present the latest direction of our environmentally friendly activities being developed within EMKA Oil, focusing on recycling UCO - used cooking oils. These fats, although no longer fit for consumption, can be reused, contributing to environmental protection.

We will also present an innovative solution, developed by us with sustainability in mind. We believe that its implementation, like all of our activities, will have a positive impact on nature. We encourage you to follow our social media to stay up to date on our activities.

What is the European Congress of Local Governments?

Scheduled to take place from March 4 to 5, 2024 in Mikolajki, the IX European Congress of Local Governments is the largest and at the same time the most important meeting in Poland of local government leaders, representatives of regional elites, as well as representatives of business, NGOs and the media, and members of the state administration. This peculiar mix of participants, as intended by the event's organizers, is intended to be an opportunity to exchange experience and good practices on many levels, while contributing to building and deepening cooperation between local governments and key stakeholders in their environment - not only from Poland, but also from other Central and Eastern European countries. The expected turnout for this year's event is more than 2,500 participants, and EMKA S.A. will also be among them.

Decentralization at the center of the event

The motto of this year's Congress is "The Future of the Idea of Decentralization in a Changing World," and the program of the 9th European Congress of Local Governments includes more than 200 events, among which are program blocks, panel discussions, presentations, lectures and workshops. Among the areas covered in the debates on socio-economic issues are such as health policy, environmental protection, mechanisms for urban and regional development, and investment financing. The entire program of the Congress is divided into fifteen thematic tracks, among which are Health, Sustainable Development, Society, Economy, Finance, Interregional Cooperation, or Economy or Business and Management.
