28November 2024. The Zawadzkie municipality is the first in the Opolskie Voivodeship to join the prestigious Nationwide Collection of Used Cooking Oil (UCO). As a result, residents of Zawadzkie, Zędowice and Kielcza will gain access to state-of-the-art UCOllectors - devices that are changing the way oil waste is collected and recycled in a revolutionary way.
What are UCOllectors?
UCOllectors are innovative devices that allow households to donate used cooking oil in a convenient, eco-friendly and rewarding way. Instead of harming the environment, oil, such as that used for frying or from canned food, can be recycled and reused. The system includes:
- Special oil bottles that can be picked up from the Oil Maker,
- An intuitive mobile app to manage collections and rewards,
- The opportunity to exchange accumulated points for ecological gifts, such as tree seedlings.

Zawadzkie, a picturesque municipality in Strzelce County, has for years been known for its concern for the environment and sustainable development. Surrounded by beautiful forests, the Mała Panew River and numerous natural attractions, the municipality is constantly introducing solutions that support ecology.
The introduction of three Oil Makers in the municipality is another step toward modern waste management. The devices will be placed in three locations:
Kielcza - a quiet town that takes special care of its green surroundings.
Zawadzkie - the heart of the municipality, a place teeming with residents,
Zędowice - a village with a rich tradition and close ties with nature,
Why is this important?
Used cooking oil poured down the drain poses a serious threat to the environment - polluting water, soils and infrastructure. Thanks to UCOllectors, the Zawadzkie municipality offers its residents an ecological tool to counteract these problems.
